The MFCA annual clinic was held on March 22nd and 23rd at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn.  There were over 300 Maine football coaches in attendance.  They were made up of high school, college, and youth coaches from all over Maine.  Of the 76 high schools in Maine – 47 were represented.  There were also several youth coaches in attendance.  All colleges in Maine were represented by head coaches and/or assistants.

Again, a big thanks to all who attended.  This was, by far, our best turnout since we started the football clinic at Lewiston High School some years ago.

Special thanks go out to Skip Capone, Chris Kempton, Darryl Weiss and the entire Bates College Football Staff.  Skip as clinic director, Chris as a presenter and organizer, Darryl as a presenter, and ALL for their help in putting together the clinic along with their cooperation throughout.

The MFCA is very lucky to have the Bates College staff, along with Head Coach Jack Cosgrove and the University of Maine staff willing to participate in the clinic and to help make it a success.  Thanks to all.

A survey will be available that will allow all coaches to comment on the clinic and to highlight the areas, topics and/or coaches they would like to see in the future.  Please feel free to make any and all comments.

Lastly, a big thanks to our major sponsors/contributors.  Dan Dangler and Ken Schott of Stadium Systems and Mark Smith of Maine Athletic Fundraising.  Both have been very generous, and their help and support of the MFCA is very much appreciated.
